GENERAL DESCRIPTION

South Twin Lake is a freshwater dimictic, eutrophic lake connected to North twin Lake by a shallow channel. The lake is surrounded by forested slopes and agricultural land. The drainage area is used for cattle grazing. On the eastern shore are numerous cabins and three resorts. South Twin Lake receives water from South Twin Inlet. The outflow is through the spillway channel into Stranger Creek. The lake supports abundant growths of aquatic macrophytes.
