New Program Aids Coffee Growers, Preserves Wildlife Habitat
The Jane Goodall Institute recently launched a program to aid coffee growers rear Gombe National Park and preserve wildlife habitat.
In return for growers' agreement to produce coffee beans with the least impact on the forest habitat, JGI will certify the coffee from their villages, increase the access of local farmers and cooperatives to overseas roasters and specialty markets, and help ensure growers receive the best possible prices.
JGI is working with specialty coffee retailers in the U.S. to market Jane Goodall Conservation Label Coffee.
